SHAH ALAM: It has been four months since Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 went missing, but Mohd Hazrin Hasnan's five-year-old daughter Iman, still pines for her missing father and sleeps with his shirt every night.
"Each night, Iman, who is very close to her father, will sleep with his shirt and a framed picture of him by the bed.
"Often she will wake up crying and said she was dreaming of her father," Mohd Hazrin's wife, Intan Maizura Othaman, 34, said.
Intan, also a MAS stewardess, said Iman had been crying every night lately.
She also said Iman has to be given counselling as she is still emotionally distressed.
Asked on her preparation for Aidilfitri, Intan said they were mostly for the children.
"Raya will no longer be the same for me," she added.
Intan has been on unpaid leave for three months after giving birth to her second child, Muhammad, now two months old.
On the MH17 which crashed in east Ukraine, near the Russian border, Intan Maizura said when she first saw a picture of the plane, she had initially thought that the MAS aircraft was MH370 and was shocked after finding that it was MH17.
"I was very sad because I lost another group of my colleagues," she added after receiving a visit from Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim at her house here Saturday.
Flight MH370 was carrying 239 passengers and crew when it disappeared from the radar while flying over South China Sea on March 8 after departing Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang at 12.41 am.
To date, efforts to find the aircraft in waters of western Australia in the South Indian Ocean have been fruitless. - Bernama
