Claims of police bias on social media untrue, says IGP

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have warned the public against spreading false statements on social media which could jeopardise the peace and public safety.

"Some posts have compared the action taken against Siti Fairrah Ashykin Kamaruddin (commonly known as Kiki, in the road bully case), Muhammmad Zahier Afiq Zarol Nizam (beaten by Chinese men for his alleged involvement in snatch theft) and Alvin Tan Jye Lee (sex blogger in the 'buka puasa with bak kut teh' case)," said Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
