Police to discuss shoot on sight SOP with Esscom stakeholders


KUALA LUMPUR: The police will hold a discussion with the various stakeholders of the Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) before coming up with a standard procedure (SOP) for security personnel in Sabah to shoot at suspected intruders.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the vital discussion would include the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone) security forces comprising of the police, Malaysian Armed Forces and Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM).
