Wife's Hari Raya wish is for the safe return of hubby


A wife's prayer: Sharifah Erna Berson, 22, cradling her four-month-old son Muhamad Hisyam Izzuddin, and her mother-in law Juna Gumbur, 54, waiting for news about Kons Zakiah Aleip at their home in Sabah. Her husband has called to say he is safe but Sharifah is just hoping he comes home soon.

SEMPORNA: Hugging her four-month-old son Muhammad Hisham, Sharifah Erna Berson shed tears as she talked about her husband, who is now in the hands of Filipino gunmen.

Wiping her eyes, the 25-year-old housewife said: “Harapan saya ialah dia akan selamat pulang (my hope is for his safe return).”
