Mabul attack: Cop to get full police honours at funeral

KOTA KINABALU: Marine police Kpl Rajah Jamuan, 32, who was killed in a shootout with Filipino gunmen during an ambush on Mabul island will be given a funeral with full police honours. 

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman in expressing his condolences to his widow Salamah Amad on Sunday said that her husband would be given the full honours of a fallen hero. 

Funeral arrangements will be made as soon as possible.

Police will also be providing support and counselling to the wife of missing constable Zakiah Aleip, 26.

He and his wife Sharifah Erna Berson have a child.

In the 11pm incident on Saturday, Kpl Rajah Jamuan was killed while Kons Zakiah Aleip was believed to be kidnapped following a shootout with gunmen during an ambush at the Mabul Water Bungalows Resort in Mabul island.
