ALOR SETAR: MCA members are urged to go back to the party's core values in the struggle for a fair and just society.

“It is stated in the Constitution that our aim is to create a fair society in this country.

"There may be policies that are unfair to certain people but it is the struggle of the party to create a fair society for everyone in the long run,” national Youth chief Chong Sin Woon said at the Kedah MCA Youth annual general assembly.

Chong added that no one should be denied an equal opportunity because of their race, skin colour, religion and gender.

He admitted that certain leaders could have forgotten the struggle after being in the Government for so long. He stressed that now was the time to go back to party’s core values.

He also chided the Opposition for criticising MCA for not standing up to its Barisan Nasional partner Umno.

“Do not pit us against Umno and they are still our partner in Barisan Nasional.

“We will speak up when we feel that a wrong has been committed,” Chong stressed.
