Prasarana to seek compensation over road cave-in

Temporary solution: Workers filling the sinkhole with sand at the intersection.

PETALING JAYA: Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd will seek compensation for the loss of revenue and associated costs following the disruption of its monorail service following last Wednesday’s collapse of an underpass at the Jalan Imbi-Jalan Pudu junction.

A Prasarana spokesman confirmed the matter following an enquiry from The Star over the suspension of the monorail service between the Hang Tuah and Imbi stations over concerns that one of the overhead piers might have been affected following the cave-in at the busy road junction.
