KUCHING: Police have arrested an unemployed man suspected of cheating 256 people by promising them jobs in Qatar at a house in Sri Aman, 186km from here on Friday.
Sarawak CCID chief Supt Mohd Firdaus Abdullah said the man charged the victims a fee of RM350 each, and also promised RM20,000 as a down payment to them, supposedly to be paid before their departure to Qatar.
