Sharifah leaves enduring legacy in entertainment


PETALING JAYA: The late Datuk Sharifah Aini Syed Jaafar started singing at a young age. As a child growing up in Johor Baru, she sang to help support her family.

At 15, she won the Bintang Radio Television Singapore (RTS) singing contest in 1968 with her song Tiga Malam, which led to a recording contract with EMI Records.
