KUALA LUMPUR: Popular rock singer-actor Awie said he did not expect to be charged in court yesterday for causing grievous hurt to his wife.

When met by reporters after the proceedings, Awie, whose real name is Ahmad Azhar Othman, said he did not expect the issue to come this far.
