JOHOR BARU: Police have picked up more than 60 suspects, including a woman, believed to be bookies or agents of a gambling syndicate that have been raking in more than RM1.4mil in bets since the World Cup started.
State police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said RM95,093 and S$6,526 (RM16,775) had been seized from the suspects aged between 20 and 60.
