MALACCA: Malacca Portuguese community activist Joseph Sta Maria (pic) has been appointed as a representative of minority ethnic communities under the state Barisan Nasional’s social service unit (Pembela).
The move to place Sta Maria to assume the position is seen as an effort by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron to address the needs, and include the views, of minority communities.
