ALOR SETAR: A husband and wife died on the spot after their motorcycle plunged into an irrigation canal at Batu 8 of the Alor Setar-Sg Petani Road on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Abd Muin Hamzah, 56, a chicken rice seller from Kampung Batu Menunggul, Pendang, Kedah and his 51-year-old wife Nor Hanida Jaafar who was riding pillion.
