MIRI: Leprosy appears to be making a “dreaded comeback” in some interior pockets of Sarawak; infecting natives there, with the Penan community appearing the most susceptible.
If left unchecked, the disease may spread as it is contagious and can be passed via physical contact, said Telang Usan state assemblyman Dennis Ngau, whose constituency in interior Baram has a large community of Penan.
