KUALA LUMPUR: An Indonesian man was brutally murdered when four men on two motorcycles attacked him with sharp weapons at Midfields Condominium in Jalan Besi Kawi, Sungai Besi.
The 28-year-old construction worker was on his way to work when he was slashed by one of the assailants believed to be using a celoret (a sickle-shape weapon), said district police chief Asst Comm Mohan Singh.
“After he fell off his motorcycle, the attackers stabbed him repeatedly on his abdomen and back,” he said.
ACP Mohan said that two of the victim’s fingers were also severed in the incident.
Police have ruled out theft and are scrutinising the footage from the closed-circuit television camera of a nearby condominium.
