MALACCA: A former maintenance inspector of a chemical plant was slapped with nine years in jail and fined RM1.8mil for eight counts of corruption and 13 counts of money laundering between 2006 and 2010.
Gauthaman Thangaraju was sentenced by the Sessions Court after he was found guilty on May 28 for the offences involving nearly RM1mil.
