Rein IGP in over stand on custody cases, PM and A-G urged

KUALA LUMPUR: DAP wants Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail to keep Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar in line for refusing to comply with civil court orders in two inter-faith custodial cases.

Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo, who lodged what could be the first of many police reports against the top cop by the party, said Khalid’s refusal to act would have far reaching repercussions on public confidence in the police and the judiciary.
