PUTRAJAYA: Prof Datuk Dr Asma Ismail (pic) is the new Higher Education Department director-general, the first woman to be appointed to the post.
Dr Asma, who has been Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia vice-chancellor for the past one and a half years, takes over from Prof Datuk Dr Morshidi Sirat.
