Family’s day out at the beach ends in tragedy

ALOR GAJAH: A camping trip ended in tragedy for a family when a mother watched in horror as her teenage son drowned at the Padang Kemunting beach near Pengkalan Balak here.

The mother, Rosliza Kadir, 45, said her son Mohd Firdaus Azman, 16, was bathing and playing in the water with his other siblings and a cousin at about 7am.
