PETALING JAYA: Malaysia must raise taxes on tobacco products as higher prices is the most effective method in reducing tobacco consumption among the people, says Fomca and the Malaysian Council for Tobacco Control (MCTC).
The two organisations said an increase in taxes would be in line with the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) framework on tobacco control.
