Death row inmate's last option is royal pardon


TEMERLOH: The family of a death row inmate convicted of murdering his wife wants to appeal for a royal pardon from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong or the Sultan of Pahang.

Sum Ah Yoon, 57, said his brother Sum Yat Loy, 55, has spent 12 years in prison and was now awaiting execution at the Bentong jail, where he had been transferred to from the Sungai Buloh prison in Selang­or four years ago, after exhausting all channels of appeal.
