Suhakam: Clear, consistent message on human rights needed

PETALING JAYA: The Government should deliver a clear and consistent message on human rights at all times to avoid any possible confusion, said the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam).

"Suhakam welcomes Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's clarification on his Facebook page that the Government was committed to the principles and values of human rights as well as the country's subscription to the philosophy, concepts and norms of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), said its chairman Tan Sri Hasmy Agam in a statement Saturday.
