Duo in rally case given discharge

IPOH: An Opposition MP and a Perak PKR leader charged under the Peaceful Assembly Act in connection with two separate rallies were issued a discharge not amounting to an acquittal after the Sessions Court held that the requirement for a 10-day notice prior for the gatherings was unreasonable.

Judge Rushan Lutfi Mohamed made the order in the case of Ipoh Timur MP Thomas Su Keong Siong and state PKR secretary Mohammad Anuar Zakaria after hearing submissions from both sides.
