Cops probe ruckus at anti-GST rally, another scuffle at Dataran Merdeka reported


KUALA LUMPUR: Police have opened an investigation into the incident where a group of rowdy youths marred the peaceful anti-GST rally on May 1 after a tussle with  PAS’ Unit Amal officers and members of the media. 

Dang Wangi OCPD ACP Zainuddin Ahmad said on Friday that police had received a report from Focus Malaysia photographer, Sharil Amin Abdul Rahim who claimed he was kicked by several youths and hurled a wooden flagpole. The youths also hurled insults at the media.
