Provision allowing for Federal takeover of Selangor water assets may not be invoked, says Khalid

SHAH ALAM: Section 114 of the Water Services Industry Act 2006 (Wasia) may not be invoked in the upcoming restructuring of Selangor’s water industry, said Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.

“It looks like one or two of the states water concessionaires are considering accepting our offer of RM9.65bil,” Khalid told a press conference, Wednesday.
