KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has defended the awarding of a power plant project to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), stating that it was done via competitive bidding.
Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili dismissed claims from Rafizi Ramli (PKR - Pandan) that the estimated RM11bil contract was given to 1MDB without any bidding.
