Missing MAS flight: Boeing assembles team to provide technical help

KUALA LUMPUR: Boeing is assembling a team to provide technical assistance to investigating authorities.

In a two-paragraph statement posted on its website, the aircraft manufacturer offered its deepest concern to the families of those aboard the missing MAS flight MH370.

MAS confirmed that MH370, carrying 227 passengers from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, lost contact with Subang Air Traffic Control at 2.40am Saturday.

The plane, with a crew of 12, had departed the KL International Airport at 12.41am and was scheduled to land in Beijing at 6.30am. - Bernama
