Haze (Update 8pm): Klang Valley air improves to moderate

PETALING JAYA: The haze situation improved late Tuesday with the Air Pollutant Index reading in several areas returning to moderate levels.

The API at 8pm for the badly-affected areas are Banting (102), Petaling Jaya (90), Port Klang (83), Shah Alam (85), Batu Muda (99), Cheras (72) and Kuala Selangor (75). However the API reading in Nilai maintained at 102.

The federal capital of Putrajaya registered a reading of 72.

Muar (87) and Seremban (89) also showed a return to moderate levels.

API reading of between 50 and 100 is considered moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy and beyond 200 hazardous.

API at 6pm: Banting (110), Petaling Jaya (95), Port Klang (90), Shah Alam (90), Batu Muda (102), Cheras (73), Kuala Selangor (83), Nilai (109), Putrajaya (76), Muar (88) and Seremban (94).

API at 4pm: Banting (118), Petaling Jaya (109), Port Klang (100), Shah Alam (101), Batu Muda (107), Kuala Selangor (90), Nilai (1090, Putrajaya (82), Cheras (76), Muar (90) and Seremban (94).

API at 3pm: Banting (127), Petaling Jaya (117), Port Klang and Shah Alam (112), Batu Muda and Kuala Lumpur (115), Kuala Selangor (98), Nilai (109), Putrajaya (86), Cheras (82), Muar (89) and Seremban (87).
