ATM broken into in attempted robbery


PETALING JAYA: An automated teller machine was broken into during an attempted robbery in Dataran Mentari, Sungai Way on Monday.

District OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said police received a call from the public informing the cops of the incident at about 6am.

"We arrived minutes after receiving the report.

"Initial investigations revealed that the incident occurred around 4am. The break-in triggered the alarm. However, nothing was lost.

"So far, we do not know how many suspects were involved. We will scrutinise the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footages," he said.
