PETALING JAYA: Police are doubting the report made by a call centre employee that she was molested by a taxi driver.
The 20-year-old woman had told police in her report that she was forced by the driver to fondle his private parts after she boarded the taxi at about 7pm near Jalan Metro Prima in Kepong on Jan 28.
Acting city CID chief Asst Comm Khairi Ahrasa said police brought in the 62-year-old taxi driver for questioning and have his statement recorded on Tuesday.

“Upon taking down the taxi driver’s statement, we found loopholes in the complaint lodged by the victim,” he said declining to reveal more details due to ongoing investigations.
The case is being investigated for using criminal force with intent to outrage the modesty of a person.
In the incident, the woman reported that she felt uncomfortable when the driver began making lewd comments at her and rubbed her thighs.
It was reported that the man brandished a knife at the woman and threatened to hurt her if she refused to cooperate. The man then took her hands and placed them on his private parts.
