KOTA BARU: A group of five people on Tuesday lodged a report at the district police headquarters here citing a website for insulting Islam and the institution of the Malay rulers.

Yasman Hashim alias Yasin, 30, who spoke for the group, said they made the report after realising that the website was getting popular and feared that this would have negative consequences.

He called on the authorities to take firm action against the owner of the website.

A Bernama search showed that the website was established on Feb 11 and many of the posts insulted Islam, Allah (God) and Prophet Muhammad. Some of the posts also insulted the institution of the Malay rulers. - Bernama
