High Court upholds sentence on engineer


GEORGE TOWN: An engineer has lost his appeal in the High Court here to set aside a maximum punishment imposed on him for forwarding offensive comments on the Internet against the Sultan of Perak.

Justice Zamani Abdul Rahim upheld yesterday the RM50,000 fine and one-year jail term which the Butterworth Sessions Court imposed on Chan Hon Keong on June 1, 2012.
