Strong wind, choppy seas to persist until Saturday

KUALA LUMPUR: The strong wind and choppy seas in the waters of Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, East Johor, Sabah, Labuan and Sarawak are expected to continue until Saturday.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department said in a statement today that the strong north-westerly winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kilometres per hour (kph) and waves of up to 3.5 metres high would be dangerous for small boats, as well as sea recreational and sporting activities.
