Kajang by-election: Liow urges voters to give MCA a chance

TAIPING: MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai urged Kajang voters to give the party a chance to have a voice in the state assembly.

He said the party would be able to speak for the people if it was represented in the assembly.

"We have shortlisted our candidates whom we think are suitable to contest in the Kajang by-election.

"We are identifying the most winnable candidate to represent Barisan Nasional," he told reporters after attending a dinner with MCA leaders here.

Liow said party members would conduct house-to-house visits to meet voters.

The seat fell vacant following the sudden resignation of PKR assemblyman Lee Chin Cheh on Jan 27.

Polling is on Mar 23 and nomination of candidates on Mar 23.
