APEK, the nation’s No. 1 goalkeeper, is now the proud father of a little girl, Malay dailies reported.

The football star, whose real name is Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, 25, said he is not yet ready to meet the media to give more details about the child.

Wife Nur Eilunie Natasha Jaafar, 23, also known as Leuniey, gave birth to the 2.75kg girl at the Perdana Specialist Centre in Kota Baru at about 3pm on Monday, Kosmo! said.

Leuniey’s mother Nor Laila Abu Bakar, 42, said she was overjoyed at becoming a grandmother.

Apek and Leuniey, a boutique owner and former model of Muslimah clothing had tied the knot on Dec 28, 2012.

> A man and his female friend were remanded in connection with an alleged abduction and rape of a 33-year-old disabled woman at a school store in Sabak Bernam, Selangor, last week, Sinar Harian reported.

The 23-year-old man was nabbed at a food stall in Parit Baru at around 12.30pm on Sunday, while his friend, 42, surrendered at a police station at about 4.30pm a day earlier, Sabak Bernam district police chief Supt Noor Mushar Muhammad said.

The 33-year-old victim was reported to have been raped by a security guard after she was allegedly abducted from her home in Sungai Nibong, Sekinchan, by the female suspect at about 9am on Feb 1.

The victim’s 72-year-old father, who saw his daughter being taken away in a Proton Iswara Aeroback, lodged a police report.

That evening, the female suspect surrendered herself and told the police the victim had been raped.
