PETALING JAYA: Fewer people are taking express buses this Chinese New Year, with operators claiming a 20% to 30% drop in ridership compared with the Hari Raya hometown rush in August last year.
Pan Malaysian Bus Operators Association (PMBOA) president Datuk Ashfar Ali said: “There is hardly any exodus (from the Klang Valley). It’s all mainly north and south travel. The demand is not like Hari Raya,” he told The Star.
