Cops: Sulu intruders showed no sign of giving up

KOTA KINABALU: The armed Sulu intruders showed no sign of surrendering from the time they arrived at Kampung Tanduo until their shootout with Malaysian security forces on March 1 last year, said elite VAT69 Commando unit senior officer Deputy Supt Abdul Rani Alias.

Questioned by Attorney General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail if Malaysian security forces viewed the intruders as enemies in combat at that time, DSP Abdul Rani said: “Yes.”
