Headmaster gets two years in jail, fine for abuse of power

ALOR SETAR:  A headmaster was sentenced to two years in jail and a fine of RM148,500 on five counts of abuse of power involving the supply of school co-curricular uniforms in 2008 and 2009, amounting to RM32,400. 

On Monday, Judge Mohd Rosli Osman handed out the judgment on Zakaria Md Lazim, 56, who was the headmaster at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Tandop Besar (SKTB), Kuala Nerang, near here.
