Over 300 foreign GROs nabbed so far this year

SHAH ALAM: Over 300 foreign women moonlighting as guest relation officers (GROs) and masseuse have been detained since the start of the year. The success followed Selangor police’s intensive anti-vice raids on more than 89 pubs and massage parlours in the state.

“The women detained included those from Myanmar, Vietnam and the Philippines. We also detained 123 men who worked as caretakers of the premises,” Selangor CPO Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan told a press conference here yesterday.
