10 hurt, two badly, after bus lands in ditch in Taiping


IPOH: Two people, one of them the driver, were badly hurt and eight others were slightly injured after an express bus they were travelling in skidded and landed in a ditch along the North-South Expressway near Taiping on Thursday.

Taiping Fire and Rescue chief Hasna Rashid said the bus was carrying 23 passengers from Lumut to Alor Setar when it knocked into the side railing at Km217.5 on a north-bound lane of the highway at 1.50 pm and landed in the ditch.
