Statistics from the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) showed that 55% of traffic offences by heavy vehicles were from overloading.

PETALING JAYA: More than 3,000 lorries and trucks have been hauled up by the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) nationwide over freight-related offences – mostly for overloading – from 2011 to 2013.

SPAD statistics showed that 55% (or 1,771) of the 3,225 offences were from overloading.
