KOTA KINABALU: Malaysian police held at least three meetings with armed Sulu intruders in hope of a bloodless solution to end the occupation of Kampung Tanduo in Lahad Datu last year.
Former Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order director Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Rashid Harun said the meetings were held with the gunmen holed up in the village on Feb 15 and 16.
