Sex bloggers' trial postponed pending bid to throw out charge

PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal here has allowed a stay of the trial in the Sessions Court involving sex bloggers Alvin Tan Jye Yee and Vivian Lee May Ling pending their bid to strike out a charge over a bak kut teh prank on their Facebook page.

Justice Linton Albert ordered the lower court trial to be postponed, pending the hearing by another Court of Appeal panel on whether the charge of causing religious disharmony by the pair via their controversial Ramadan greeting on Facebook should be struck out.
