The priest reportedly gave his statement in connection with Section 4 of the Sedition Act 1948.

Section 4 makes it an offence for a person to, among other things, conduct acts of a seditious tendency, utter seditious words, distribute or import seditious publications.

On Sunday, approximately 50 people held a demonstration at Stadium Sultan Sulaiman, Klang over a Dec 27 statement by the priest that Catholic churches in Selangor would continue to use the word "Allah."
