SANDAKAN: A 27-year-old man who was injured in a shooting incident that took his girlfriend’s life said he did not know who opened fire as it was dark when they were ambushed.
Amiruddin Mustamin and 19-year-old Rozaliah Peter had reportedly stopped to rest at a hut in an oil palm plantation in remote Tongod, near Kinabatangan, about 80km from here, when gunshots rang out at around 6.45pm on Saturday.
