AUTHORITIES in the Jingxian county of Anhui, China, forcibly exhumed the body of a man and set its coffin on fire after the family defied a cremation order, reported Kwong Wah Yit Poh. In the incident, officials cordoned off the burial plot and excavated the man’s grave without informing his children.
After pouring gasoline on the wooden coffin, they set it on fire to perform an “open air cremation.”
