Alcohol, drug traces found in blood of suspect who died in custody


GEORGE TOWN: The Coroner’s Court holding the inquest into the death of Cheah Chin Lee in police custody here was told that he had traces of alcohol and drugs in his blood. 

Chemist Doreen Chandra from Chemist Department of Malaysia (Penang branch) said blood specimen analysis had indicated an ethylalcohol content of 74mgmiligram/100mlmililitre of blood as well as 1.2mcgmicrogram diazepam/mlmililitre of blood and 0.6mcgmicrogram nordiazepam/mlmililitre of blood.
