SHAH ALAM: Mohamad Sabu and the party’s Erdogans have retained much of their previous influence in the central PAS leadership, with the incumbent deputy president retaining his post and the democrat group in securing 10 of the 18 central committee (CC) seats.
It was a major blow for the pro-ulama faction after so much hype ahead of the party polls about bringing PAS back to its theocratic roots.
