100 families in Rantau Panjang ordered to prepare to move out


KOTA BARU: About 350 of the 100 families at Kampung Tasek Bakong in Rantau Panjang, Pasir Mas, have been asked to be prepared to move out as the water of Sungai Golok was overflowing its banks Thursday.

Rantau Panjang Fire and Rescue Department (operation) Senior Fire Officer 1 Zaimi Samat said the water level of Sungai Golok at Rantau Panjang had risen to the warning level of 7.9 metres following heavy rain from on Wednesday.
