THE Government’s repeated assurance that the Sri Muneswarar Kaliyaman temple will not be demolished failed to convince a group of MPs, who joined about 20 other protesters outside the Parliament gates yesterday to accuse the Government and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) of “spinning” the truth.
Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor had said on Monday that DBKL will keep the shrine at its present location, but will ensure that the renovated structure follows specifications before it is maintained with the aid of Malaysia Hindu Sangam.
